iPhone Frenzy at Amicalola

Yesterday, I took the kids to Amicalola Falls for a picnic and hiking. I have to admit, lugging my equipment with me on a hike is not really a fun activity for me.

I decided to leave my fancy camera and paparazzi lens at home (much to the delight of my kids); however, I still had my iPhone! I thought it would be a great opportunity to use what I had and enjoy a day without worry of damaging my camera or inciting groans from the kids while mommy ensures the perfect exposure and bokeh effect.

Here are some of the pics from yesterday- all taken and edited with the iPhone:

Though it won't replace my equipment at sessions, I am hooked! I love the freedom of using the phone and the fun of editing them directly in the phone as well! The quality isn't shabby either. Sure, you don't have all the options without all the equipment, but sometimes just using what you have is pretty great.
