September Seven (Alpharetta Family Photography)

September is usually a bit of a crazy month for those starting back to school and trying to adjust to those early mornings and after-school commitments.  The entire month was a bit of a blur for me, but it's time I catch up a bit! :)

This family is one of the reasons why I love photography- meeting some great people (and burning those extra calories running after their kids- ok, maybe just the 3, 2, and 1 year olds. :).

We took the posed portraits when I first got there- a small miracle indeed- all the kids looking in my direction and a split second of the youngest sisters holding hands!



I love the dad and daughters shots- it reminds me of how I wish I had more of my two sisters with my dad growing up.  I think this is when the candy bribes started...



Now on to the little ones' favorite part of the day- bubbles and running around, because how long can you expect any kid to stay still and posed? (answer 2 milliseconds).  Check out the perfect bubble pop on this little guy's head!

There were no bribes needed for these beautiful sisters.



I loved how the big sisters were with their little sisters- so sweet!





Raisins and sippy, but they were all looking my way- yey!

Welcome Baby Walker! (Alpharetta Newborn Photography)

Introducing my newest muse, Walker! I have to say I'm a bit biased with this cutie- he's my sweet nephew! 

He gave us a sly little smile right off the bat, then decided to hold out on those the rest of the time :).




I just loved this little hat- and he did too by the looks of how comfy he was. Of course, it could be that he was snuggled on a warm, fuzzy blanket with a space heater blowing constantly.

As cute as that hat was, it was time to get some without it and show off that sizeable noggin!



This little frog hat was a wee bit less popular. Gotta love that crabby face! :)



Now onward to the neutral tones!   He was definitely chilled out here after a quick snack break.



How great is this crocheted horse? What a sweet gift from his very talented great grandma!



Sweet little details...



Whatever you do, don't try to dress this little guy up in anything fancy- he's his daddy's son!



The happy family... Walker, you got the fist down, now time to practice that rebel yell!



I love you, sweet little guy, and I know soon you'll be as tired of Aunt Kim taking pictures of you as my own kids are! :)

Kissing (and hitting and biting...:) Cousins (Alpharetta Baby Photography)

When I was told these two cuties like to fight, I thought 'no way- these sweet 18 month old cousins?'  I witnessed their cuteness and feistiness in action!

First, it was time for a few sitting shots while Miss Fiona allowed it- I knew my time was limited before she was off and running..







Gideon was a different story- he started off running and hardly stopped- what a busy boy!



We did manage to focus his attention on some great 'props' around the family farm:





And now the daunting task- getting pictures of these two together!





I'm pretty sure a favorite song or two was poorly sung by me to help ensure at least a picture or two of them sitting together!

Time for a little pool fun, just watch out for that blue weapon, I mean toy!

Jamie, I can't believe you're about to be a mommy. I remember when our mom brought you home from the hospital!

You look so amazing and I think when I felt the little guy move the other day, it starting sinking in for me that I'll be an aunt to one sweet little guy. I'm so excited for you!  I can't wait wait to be a part of his life.

 Thank you for spending the morning sweating it out with your sister to get these pictures. I had a wonderful time and what a great reason to hang out! I love you!

After the most humid, cloudy morning, the sun poked through for a bit:




Though the humidity was completely miserable, it added to your already beautiful preganancy 'glow' :). I can't wait to meet my little nephew soon!

Welcome Baby Mason! (Alpharetta Newborn Photography)

As most newborns are, Mason liked to be warm with a full belly and dry diaper and would let you know if one of those is not quite right.  But after a while, resistance was futile to the heaters keeping us all at a toasty at (what seemed to be) 90 degrees!

I don't usually photography newborns in a lot of clothes since they can look like they are swimming in them, but this little outfit with the tie was too cute!


He liked to give us little smiles in between trying to open his eyes:


I couldn't resist having some fun with the hat and the shorts they had on the blue shag rug- color overload... find the baby!


I had to incorporate his cute little animal theme from his nursery:


Once again, fun with a hat!

It's always hard to stop taking pictures when the little ones are finally in such a deep sleep. If only they'd sleep like this at night! :)
